INSURANCE

FACTS

An appraisal prior to
loss is the best way
to collect full value.

  • An appraisal is the only certain way your insurance agent can provide you with  proper coverage.
  • After any substantial loss, a claims adjuster will ask you to justify your claim with supporting documentation.
  • A professional appraisal is useful for many years.           Descriptions and authentication remain valid even if values change.
  • If you anticipate a household move, you should provide the movers with a professional appraisal of your art or antiques before they finalize an estimate.  This will allow them to take adequate precautions and will help you avoid difficulties in settling any damage claims that may arise.
